Next Bible Study Subject "HYPOCRISY"
These verses are about people who say something and do something else. They do everything differently. It's like
lying with your life instead of your tongue. People don't like hypocrites. Neither does God. Don't be one like that.
28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together so that they
trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is
2 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in
the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
1 Timothy 4:1-2
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but even
their mind and conscience are defiled.
16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified
for every good work.

Some people are full of deceit.
They will tell you anything just to get what they want.
Dishonest people can really hurt you.
Stay away from them as much as you can.
Respect the Truth
“Buy the truth, and do not sell it” is the advice of Proverbs 23:23.
Lot sold the truth for a home in the city (Gen. 13:1–13).
Esau sold the truth for a mess of pottage (Gen. 25:29–34).
King Saul sold the truth for the support of the people (1 Sam. 15:24–35).
Judas sold the truth for thirty pieces of silver (Matt. 26:14–16)
Pilate sold the truth for the approval of the crowd (Mark 15:15). It is not worth it!

Tombs were whitewashed so that Jewish people would not accidentally touch them and thus be in ceremony defiled. Jesus likened the scribes and Pharisees to whitewashed tombs, which looked clean on the outside but were full of corruption inside. They were full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
